of Der Michigan SchH Verein in Hudson, Michigan and have recently
founded a new club called the Metro-Detroit SchH Club in Milan,
Michigan. I have handled, owned and trained several dogs including
American Bulldog, Shriver/Ellis’ Levi SchH3 (H.O.T.). Im currently

The resounding success of the
Masters Tournament and the potential of the Players Open Tournament have
me very excited for the future of SchH in the US. Best of luck to all

My
name is Lionel Madden and I am honored to be selected as one of the
helpers for the 2009 Players International Tournament. I am a native
Southern Californian, and I was first exposed to the sport of Schutzhund
about 16 years ago. My intent is to continue to learn and master the
sport. My passion for the sport lies in high-level training.
I am a member of the Goldenstate Schutzhund Club in Riverside,
California, where my experience includes attaining SchH3 (H.O.T) and
qualifying for Nationals with my previous dog, Cenno. I have assisted
many club members and guests with their pursuit of SchH3 titles. Over
the years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the country and witness
top level training first hand. Some of my accomplishments include being
selected for helper work in five National, four Regional and several
club trials, as well as being the recipient of the “Egon Vollrath
Sportsmanship Award” in the 2005 USA Nationals.
The following is a quote I find fitting to not only the sport of
Schutzhund, but also to life in general…”The points you are looking
for at the end are the ones you missed in the beginning” Lance Collins
I would like to thank the 2009 Players International Tournament
committee for this selection, and to all the handlers/dog teams, I
humbly bow my head. Thank you again.
