DSE Event Regulations

 

DSE thanks you for your interest and support of our events.

Below please find the rules and regulations governing our events.*

 

 

270 or Higher Requirement:

The entering k9-handler team must have attained an IPO3 title with a score of 270 or higher within one (1) year from the date of the event.

 

The k9-handler team must achieve this score as a team and not separately.

 

 

2.  DSE Record Book: Entry to the tournament event requires a DSE Record Book.

 

 

Handler Conduct: Handlers must:

 

Respect the judges decision in re scores and other trial-related issues such as dismissal due to injury, temperament or to prevent injury.

 

Clean up after your dog.

 

Abide by rules pertaining to Dog Sports trial comportment and principles of good sportsmanship.

 

Not engage in any type of corporeal or violent or excessive corrective discipline of the k9 while on DSE-leased property.

 

No shorts, cut offs or sandals while trialing.

 

DSE bibs must be worn while trialing in the stadium.

 

Personally attend the banquet/draw as part of the entry requirement. We ask that you dress close to or near business casual or wear a trial-like warm-up suit.

 

Submit a photo and bio by the deadline as a condition precedent to a successful entry.

 

Inform DSE officials if you will compete with a bitch in heat. You will be asked to compete last in all phases.

 

Agree to waive any and all rights to adjudicate any and all issues relating to your participation in or application for entry to a DSE event. All decisions made by the DSE officials is final and not subject to appeal.

 

Any and all protests must be made the day of the event in writing and handed to one of the principal promoters. All decisions made by them are final and not subject to appeal.
